Guerrilla warfare is a form of irregular warfare and refers to conflicts in which a small group of combatants including, but not limited to, armed civilians (or "irregulars") use military tactics, such as ambushes, sabotage, raids, the element of surprise, and extraordinary mobility to harass a larger and less-mobile traditional army, or strike a vulnerable target, and withdraw almost immediately.

Solomon "Kalushi" Mahlangu

Solomon Mahlangu is a struggle hero, who became the first MK cadre to be hanged by the apartheid government. Solomon Mahlangu was born in Doorenkop, an extension of Middleburg on the outskirts of town in 1956 on the 10th July. Here is man and a half who even in the darkest hour of his life, never stop believing and never stop fighting. He fought not for his fate, as his fate was already sealed he knew that the apartheid system was out to make an example out of him.  So Solomon fought for our fate, so that one day me and you could be free. That is why he said “My blood will nourish the tree that will bear the fruits of freedom. Tell my people that I love them. They must continue the fight."

He was the founding president of the South African Native National Congress which became the African National Congress[1] in 1923. Dube served as SANNC president between 1912 and 1917.
